i wanted to get into public uni but i couldnt cus of my igcse cert. my friends who also took igcse, took the long way of going through spm again wasting approximately 2 yrs of their time studying, getting results and waiting for a placement in the gov uni. he is so right to say that education is business, the amount of money spent on my education is something that worries me. and yup we also hv to study mpu subjects in private uni, even my international friends from abroad hv to study these mpu subjects. these mpu subjects added up could make up 1 to 2 semesters of our whole course. imagine if we were able to remove these mpu subs and focus on our core subjects instead and possibly shorten our overall course.

My brother, who runs a small accountancy firm, spends 100k per mth every month, not counting the 20+ staff salaries. That's why medicine is not a 1st choice of study no more. My niece with straight As' is taking physiotherapy. Generally, they earn more than doctors

100k take home salary is massive, imagine the money is from patients who are suffering mentally and physically and financially due to the high medical cost. It is almost dirty money like blood diamond. Where's your conscience when you are enjoying your money at the expense of the suffer of so many patients? Getting to doctor is a tough path yes but that does not mean you should be neglecting the social responsbility as a doctor! Remember the The Hippocratic Oath??? Government should do something about it.
